Skills Development

In the early years, management realised that end-user

training must be part of the offering if Hydraform was

to protect itself from the adverse effects of casual or

sloppy processing by users on site. To this end, the

company developed training programmes that are

inextricably part of the deal when selling Hydraform

machines.

Over the years the company has gained a wealth of

knowledge on the best ways to make soil cement blocks and

how best to construct buildings with dry-stacked masonry.

Training takes users through the blockmaking process from

start to finish, beginning with the mixing and production of

trial batches using the materials at hand. The instruction

covers blockmaking, curing, and of course building with the

Hydraform building system.

Training can take place anywhere in the world or

at the state-of-the-art Hydraform Training Academy

in Boksburg, South Africa. The programme can also

be tailored to suit individual requirements and/or local

conditions, while support is available for long-term

projects.

As well as being a state-of-the-art training facility,

the Hydraform Training Academy is home to a

materials testing laboratory equipped to further

the company’s knowledge and better aid clients

in producing the best quality and most economical

products possible. All of this is backed by a

technical department that ensures that clients get

the right assistance wherever and whenever

they need it.
